Vampire casting call
An Equity chorus call will be held for dancers for the Broadway production of "Dance of the Vampires," a new musical at the Minskoff Theatre. First rehearsal Aug. 5; first performance Sept. 30; opens Nov. 14. Equity Chorus Production contract. David Sonenberg, Andrew Braunsberg, Bob Boyett, USA Ostar Theatricals, and Lawrence Horowitz, prod'rs; John Rando, dir.; John Carrafa, choreo.; Jim Steinman, music & lyrics; David Ives, Jim Steinman, and Michael Kunze, book; Michael Reed, music supervisor; Patrick Vaccariello, mus'l dir.; 101 Productions, Ltd., gen. mgr.; Bernard Telsey Casting, Inc., casting. Auditions will be held at 890 Broadway, btwn. 19 and 20 sts., 4th fl., NYC. Be ready to dance with jazz shoes or sneakers. Women should also bring character shoes. Bring kneepads. After dancing, you may be asked to sing 16-32 bars of a pop song or contemporary musical theatre song showing range. Bring sheet music and pix & resumes stapled together. A piano accompanist will ! be provided. Note that producers are seeking an ethnically diverse ensemble. All are encouraged to attend. EQ. CHORUS PRODUCTION CONTRACT.
Equity female dancers,
Seeking: ensemble dancers, male and female dancers, can be any ethnicity and any type, 18-40s, should be technically skilled with a wide range of physical ability and a background in jazz/ballet/modern. Also seeking performers experienced with specialties such as acrobatics, flying, contortion, trampoline work, fire tricks, etc. Singing ability is a plus but not necessary for the major dance tracks. To play various roles in the ensemble and possibly cover principal roles.
