Michael Crawford as von Krolock

The veteran musical actor Michael Crawford is set to play the role of count Von Krolock in the upcomming Broadway staging of "Dance of the vampires".Crawford will be the highest paid actor in musical theater with an estimated $180.000 a week."He'd be worth every cent we pay him", Jim Steinman, the shows composer and lyricist has said.Other actors considered for the role were David Bowie,Richard Gere,John Travolta and Placido Domingo, but Michael Crawford was first choice.
The role of Alfred is expected to be played be Aris Sas, who played in both the Vienna and Stuttgart productions.
