There was some fantastic performances at last nights "Paradise Found- The lost songs of Jim Steinman" show at New Yorks 54 below. Tyce Green did an amazing "for crying out loud",  Jessica Hendy went above and beyond with "Nothing" from the Garbo Musical and Karine Hannah rocked both "Tonight is what it mean to be young" and "Braver than we are".

Former Meat Loaf duet partner Ellen Foley has released a beautiful version of Jim Steinman's "Heaven Can wait", originally from Meat Loaf's "Bat out of Hell" album on which Ellen performed the female part of the legendary "Paradise by the dashboard light". The song was also included in the abandoned "Neverland" musical and performed here by Ellen.

Veteran rockstar Meat Loaf starts his fall tour on October 16th in Albuquerque. The singer says he won't be performing songs from his upcoming album "braver than we are", but there should be plenty of good Steinman classics.

When Jim Steinman in 2006 sued Meat Loaf over the right to the phrase "Bat out of hell", the case ended with Meat Loaf getting the rights to use the title for recordings, while Jim got the rights to use it in the teater. Since then we have recieved varous news reports of a musical in progress.
