In Germany the musical "Tanz der Vampire" is the musical that won't go away. Since it's premier in Vienna in 1997 the musical, directed by Roman Polanski with musical by Jim Steinman,  has played in Berlin, Stuttgart, Hamburg and Oberhausen and even though Stage Entertainment said the last show in Berlin would be the last staging in Germany, it's back by popular demand in not only Berlin for the 3rd time , but also in Munich for the first time in 2016.

November will see a devolopmental lab production of Jim Steinman's new Bat out of Hell musical produced by Michael Cohl and David Sonnenberg and directed by Jay Scheib.

Good news for Finnish fans of the cult musical "Tanz der vampire" as the musical is set to return to the nordic country in 2016. A non replica version of the musical was staged in the town of Seinäjoki in 2011, but this time it's the capital of Helsinki that takes on the vampires.

In May the supper club 54 below in NYC presented "Total Eclipse- the music of Jim Steinman" where a number of Jim's greatest songs where performed by a long list of Broadway performers with special appearance by Ellen Foley (Paradise by the dashboard light, 20th century fox, little red book) and Carla De Vito (Dance in my pants, Heaven can wait).

It would seems that you can't keep vampires out of Germany for very long at a time. After a succesful run at the Mogador theater, Stage entertainment have announced that the musical will return to German in 2016 with productions for the first time in Munich and for the 3rd time in Berlin.
